Yes g) Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
No h) Do you support the creation of multi-housing in areas previously zoned for single family housing?
California is over regulated and unaffordable for mainstream citizens. High taxes and fees are stifling economic growth. Businesses are leaving the state and taking good jobs with them. We need to ease up the government restrictions and let free enterprise create, innovate and cultivate ideas that lead to new industries and new job opportunities.
No a) Do you support adopting federal education standards in California?
Yes b) Do you support state funding for charter schools?
Yes c) Do you support increasing teacher salaries AND/OR benefits in California?
No d) Should immigrants unlawfully present in the United States who graduate from California high schools be eligible for in-state tuition at public universities?
I support innovation in public schools to prepare our students for the future. We need a mix of public, charter and private schools to match the diversity of our students to meet their individual needs.

Yes b) Do you support government regulations of greenhouse gas emissions?
Yes c) Do you support increasing state funding for clean drinking water initiatives?
Yes d) Do you support state regulations on fuel economy standards?
No e) Do you support allowing homeowners to buy into a shared community solar energy system?
We need reliable energy based on a mix of renewable, clean natural gas and small modular nuclear reactors. The role of the State is oversight, but it should not mandate percentages or types of energy produced. What if there is an innovative breakthrough in power generation, like hydrogen fuel cells? The State should not be picking the winners and losers, it should create an environment that promotes innovation and competition.
No a) Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
No b) Should background checks be required on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows?
Yes c) Should teachers be allowed to bring guns into the classroom after passing gun safety training?
No d) Should a license be required for gun ownership?
I believe in protecting our 2nd Amendment Constitutional Rights. Keep guns out of the hands of criminals, but let law abiding citizens exercise their right to own guns.

No c) Do you support requiring individuals to purchase health care insurance?

No e) Do you support eliminating religious exemptions for vaccinations?
No f) Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
I support increasing the supply of doctors, physician assistants, nurses and aides to bring down the cost of healthcare. I think California should offer a health care insurance and a catastrophic health insurance plan, but it should be voluntary and no one should ever be denied insurance due to preexisting conditions. I like the idea of tax free health savings accounts that are owned by individuals and not tied to a particular employer.
Yes a) Do you support the inclusion of sexual orientation in California's anti-discrimination laws?
No b) Do you support the inclusion of gender identity in California's anti-discrimination laws?
No c) Do you support greater efforts by California state government in closing the pay gap between men and women?
I believe in equal pay for equal work and more transparency in the workplace. There are too many intangible factors for the government to micromanage. Let the free market determine pay.
My priorities are to REOPEN California ! Trust the resourcefulness and creativity of small businesses to open safely and wisely. OPEN SCHOOLS UP and let local school districts, boards, teachers and parents decide how to safely get their children's education back on track. Support Public Safety, it is the foundation for a civilized and secure society. Manage and Protect our Forests, Wildlife Habitat and Air from Wildfires by being better stewards of our natural resources. Clear underbrush, thin out the trees, remove dead timber, maintain fire breaks.
Increase our electric power supply by getting rid of over regulation and encouraging private enterprise to build clean, new and reliable sources of electricity. I believe in the free market, the law of supply and demand. Government Oversight to protect the interests of Californians is appropriate and necessary, but over regulation stifles progress. Increase our Water Supply by encouraging desalinization plants along our coast where most of our major cities and population is located. It's time to build a better future, together !!
